Donated game boosts area food pantries
Community Action thanks hunters
Community Action Partnership, Minot Region, says thank you to hunters who donated meat to their food pantries. For the past 15 years Community Action Partnership of North Dakota has joined with the Sportsmen Against Hunger program.
Food pantries continue to need healthy sources of protein, particularly fresh meat. Perishable items are often the least donated, yet are the most needed for preparing healthy meals. The goal is to increase the amount of legally harvested game meat donated to food pantries across the state.
Sportsmen Against Hunger brings together hunters willing to donate game to those in need of nutritious protein sources. Any questions regarding the program should be directed to 232-2452.
