Submitted Photo A post card dated August, 1916 shows a catch of paddlefish near Buford. The image was submitted by Marty Jorgenson of Minot. Jorgenson was part of a paddlefishing party near Buford in 1992 that had similar success. The experience led Jorgenson to encourage the Williston Chamber of Commerce to start a program to harvest paddlefish eggs to process into caviar. Goldstar Caviar, now Northstar, began operating the following year.
