Outdoors LIFE — Photo of the week: Busy as a bee

Bees may be small but they play a critical role in the outdoors in North Dakota by pollinating a wide variety of plants. The leaves are changing colors, signaling the coming of winter. Each year beekeepers in the area will send their worker bees west to keep them alive and productive. The bees will be brought back to North Dakota in the spring when the weather is warm and flowers are blooming. This photo-of-the-week was taken along the Souris River by Nick Graham of Minot.
