Outdoors LIFE

Submitted Photo A bobcat that wandered into a bird bath for a drink at mid-afternoon was a pleasant surprise for avid birder and photographer Robert Sando, Minot. The photograph was taken March 2 in the city limits of Laguna Vista, Texas. Sando said the blind quickly became a very popular spot with other birders who learned of the stealthy appearance of the bobcat.
Snow geese recently put on a spectacular show at Lake Darling. Hundreds of thousands of snow geese made a stop-over at the lower end of the reservoir before resuming their northward migration. Many people who were enjoying a day outdoors eagerly witnessed the huge gathering of birds. This photograph was taken Saturday, March 28. Kim Fundingsland/MDN
