State OHV trails open

North Dakota law closes public access to snowmobile trails between April 1 and Nov. 1 every year. People are asked to refrain from using ATVs or OHVs on closed snowmobile trails. Even if you see a snowmobile trail that is marked, it is unlawful for any person to operate a snowmobile within a highway right of way between April 1 and November 1 of any year.

Off-Highway Vehicle riding in the state is available at places such as the Roughrider trail south of Mandan near Fort Lincoln Abraham Lincoln State Park or in the Pembina Gorge along. North Dakota Parks and recreation encourages people to visit their website for additional information.
