Fort Stevenson State Park is offering a candlelight hike Feb. 8 from 6-7:30 p.m. during the full moon known as the Snow Moon. Participants are invited to hike, cross country ski, or snowshoe by candlelight. Park staff will provide candle luminaries to light the way followed by hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows at the journey’s end. This event is pet-friendly. Well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome.

Snowshoes and Nordic skis are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for the event. Follow on Facebook and Instagram @fort.stevenson for event updates, including possible cancellation due to weather or snow conditions.

The park charges a $7 vehicle entrance fee unless a current ND Parks & Recreation Department annual pass is displayed. Fort Stevenson State Park is located three miles south of Garrison. For more information, call the park office 337-5576.
