Pallet Planters

Eloise Ogden/MDN These wall planters with succulents are at Minot’s Roosevelt Park Zoo but could be done in an outdoor home setting to dress up a wall or fence. Shannon Paul, Minot Park District horticulturist, said the planters are wooden pallets that have been cut down and then landscape fabric stapled to the back and sides. Soil is placed inside the pallet planters. The planters are laid on a bench for planting and are kept flat for about a month and a half until the plants grow and root. These planters are great for planting succulents but also annuals can be planted in them. The plants can be watered from the top or front of the planter.
