Food bank to make box program stop in Minot

The Great Plains Food Bank will be making an additional stop in Minot, distributing fresh produce through the USDA Farmers to Families Food Box Program in the north parking lot of the Minot State University Dome on Thursday from 3-6 p.m.

The only food bank in the state of North Dakota, the Great Plains Food Bank encourages all those in need in Minot and surrounding areas to visit the distribution Thursday. There are no income requirements and all in need of food assistance are welcome. There will be around 1,000 pre-packed boxes of fresh produce available.

Thursday’s distribution will be the second of three straight weeks the Great Plains Food Bank will be stopping in Minot. The program will return to the north parking lot of the MSU Dome on Friday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The program also stopped in Minot on Aug. 7 and has visited the city five times this summer.
