From a Waterworks exhibit designed like the Souris River to the Magic Climber featuring sweeping views of the city, the Magic City Discovery Center in Minot has a variety of science-themed exhibits for children and adults.
"Anyone who is even the least bit curious, come explore," said Executive Director Matthew Farnsworth, noting that the center is built for all ages.
Welcoming 65,000 to 85,000 visitors annually, the discovery center operates with a mission to instill lifelong learning in its guests.
Beyond daily exhibits, the facility offers outreach programs, camps and rental spaces for events such as weddings and graduation parties. Businesses can also rent the classrooms used for youth camps.
Farnsworth outlined a seven- to 10-year expansion plan aimed at creating room for traveling and new exhibits, as well as a dedicated dining space and potential cafe. Those future developments remain pending based on grant funding and private donations.
