SCORE has begun officially serving clients in North and South Dakota through one combined chapter, SCORE Dakotas.
Combining three former chapters - Grand Forks & West Central ND, Greater Fargo and South Dakota - collectively into one chapter allows the new grouping to address the more urban and rural areas throughout the states. This combination strengthens SCORE’s ability to serve entrepreneurs and small businesses across both states and beyond.
During fiscal year 2026, which ended Sept. 30, the 50 some mentors with these three chapters mentored more than 600 clients, conducted more than 1,500 mentoring sessions and provided hundreds of live webinar trainings as free resources to clients.
"Bringing these three chapters together allows for greater efficiencies, making better use of mentor's experience, knowledge and resources," said Sheila Bruhn, SCORE Dakotas co-chair.
SCORE Dakotas serves entrepreneurs, strengthening relationships with chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, lenders, educational institutions, SBA resource partners and others working together to support and grow the Dakotas business ecosystem.
For more than 60 years, SCORE has provided free, confidential, expert business mentoring and education resources to people starting, managing, growing/selling businesses. SCORE volunteers bring experience from a wide range of industries, professions and business disciplines and work one-on-one with entrepreneurs at every stage of business development.
