Town & Country Credit Union joined credit unions nationwide in celebrating CU Kind Day on Oct. 12, a day dedicated to spreading kindness and making a difference through acts of service.
With branches closed in observance of a federal holiday, 132 employees from across the organization volunteered their time in the Minot and Fargo communities, contributing 198 hours in just one day.
The Town & Country team partnered with 15 local nonprofit organizations, supporting causes ranging from food security and youth programming to animal welfare and community enrichment. In Minot, staff supported Roosevelt Park Zoo, Dakota Hope Clinic, Souris Valley United Way, CASO, Youthworks, Salvation Army, Matthew 25, Souris Valley Animal Shelter, Minot Public Schools Foundation and Hairball Haven.
"Our employees exemplified the credit union philosophy of 'people helping people,'" said Kalli Schell, CEO/president of Town & Country Credit Union. "CU Kind Day gave us the chance to live out our mission in a meaningful way, by supporting the incredible organizations that serve our communities every day."
