Outdoor Comfort Solutions of Minot, which provides outdoor living spaces and home renovation services in North Dakota, announced it will officially retire the Souris River Designs name. The change follows the State of North Dakota’s 2024 decision to formally adopt Mouse River as the river’s official name, aligning state law with longstanding local usage.

Founded in 2001, Souris River Designs began as a design build remodeling company serving homeowners throughout the Minot region. Over the past two decades, the company expanded to include home renovation projects. As demand grew for high quality outdoor living solutions, the company launched a dedicated division in 2018 called Outdoor Comfort Solutions. As that division continued to grow, it became clear that the Outdoor Comfort Solutions brand better represented the company’s identity, services and future direction, according to the company.

All remodeling services — including kitchen and bath renovations, cabinetry, and countertop sales — now will operate under the Outdoor Comfort Solutions name.

“Our customers can expect the same team, the same quality, and the same commitment — just under a name that reflects where we’re headed,” said owner David Lebrun. “This transition allows us to simplify our brand while honoring our roots and continuing to grow.”
