Dakota Square Mall names new general manager
Robin Hofer
Robin Hofer recently joined Dakota Square Mall’s management team as the property’s general manager, according to CBL Properties.
Hofer will work with leasing and operations to enhance the property’s tenant mix as well as develop partnerships that will strengthen the customer experience. He brings a wealth of knowledge, including more than 35 years in the retail industry with positions at Dayton’s, Marshall Field’s, JCPenney and Dillard’s.
Hofer grew up on a dairy farm near Turtle Lake and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in marketing from Minnesota State University Moorhead. His career path then led him to work in Minnesota, Illinois, California, Colorado and Utah, and he is now returning to his North Dakota roots. His experience in retail management coupled with his North Dakota background well positions him for success in this new role, CBL Properties stated in a news release.
“The chance to lead a property filled with great opportunities and people while providing a convenient service to our community is a true privilege,” Hofer said in the release. “I’m eager to create relationships with key community partners to keep Dakota Square moving toward long-term growth and economic impact.”
Hofer’s addition to the management team follows the retirement of longtime Dakota Square General Manager Chuck Massey, who guided the property for more than 25 years.
