Longtime credit union leader to retire

Diane Smith

Aspire Credit Union has announced the retirement of Diane Smith, who has led the Member Service Representative team at Aspire, after 31 years.

To honor Smith and the impact she has made over three decades, Aspire Credit Union will host a retirement open house on Friday, March 20, from 3-5 p.m. at its Minot location. Members, coworkers, friends and community partners are invited to stop by, share a memory and help celebrate Smith’s career.

Smith joined the credit union team on April 25, 1994. Throughout her tenure, Smith has seen Aspire through rebrands, technology and core processing changes, and countless milestones in growth. As the Member Service Representative manager, she has led a fleet of tellers and helped shape a welcoming, people-first experience for patrons. Many long-time credit union members consider her a favorite as someone who remembers their stories, celebrates their life moments and always greets them with genuine warmth, according to Aspire.

“Diane has truly embodied what it means to Aspire to More,” said Kevin Vigested, CEO and president of Aspire. “Her leadership, compassion, and unwavering dedication have made Aspire better, for our members, our staff, and our community. Her legacy is one we will feel for years to come.”

Starting at $2.99/week.
