Bank names assistant vice president of ag, business

TIOGA — Jenny Gaaskjolen has been named assistant vice president of Ag and Business Banking for Bank of Tioga, based in the Tioga location.

Gaaskjolen is a native of Spearfish, South Dakota, and resides in Stanley. She graduated from Black Hills State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration management and marketing. She has 15 years of banking experience, with 10 of those years in lending. She most recently served as the branch manager of BNC National Bank in Stanley for more than 10 years.

Gaaskjolen has served on a range of boards particular to community and economic development. She serves on the board of the Western Region Economic Development, Stanley Economic Development Fund, Van Hook Association, Vision West Foundation, as well as serving as the chair of Stanley Area Community Foundation and secretary of the Stanley Visitors Fund.

She also serves on the Stanley High School Family and Consumer Science advisory board and is the past president of the Stanley Commercial Club, past committee member for the Stanley Farmers Market, Rapid City Downtown Association, Rapid City Cosmopolitan Club as well as a former employee with Rapid City Economic Development.

“Being a part of the Western Dakotas my whole life has definitely given me a love and appreciation for agriculture. Through my experience with several different economic development organizations, I have grown very passionate about small businesses,” Gaaskjolen said.
