Daily Thread among new shopping venues at Dakota Square Mall

Jen Brodal/MDN Daily Thread retail store is located in Dakota Square Mall. The store opened in June.

Daily Thread stores have opened at an average of 10 stores per month across the Midwest this year, said Minot’s Daily Thread store manager Letha Selfridge.

The Minot store opened in Dakota Square Mall on June 29 and offers an affordable line of clothing for every age and style. The store has started to come alive heading into the fall months, said Selfridge.

Daily Thread is among several new venues for shoppers coming to Dakota Square Mall in the next months.

Mikalah Auer, marketing director for Dakota Square Mall, said some seasonal kiosks returning this year are Hickory Farms and Go Calendars. Auer said Crumbl Cookie is opening in the next few months and sometime next year Tilt Studios, a family entertainment center, will open.

Selfridge said everything in Daily Thread is under $40. A business casual-themed clothing line that includes dresses and comfortable lounge wear comes in sizes extra small petite to 3X.

She said because NYC Alliance is the direct supplier and manufacturer of the Daily Thread store, it essentially cuts out the middle man and allows for quality clothing at a lower price.

The Daily Thread has several racks of daily deals, where guests can find clothing pieces for $15 or less. Selfridge said clearance items can get as low as $5. She attests to the quality and comfort of the clothing as a shopper herself. The clothing is very diverse and comparable to other clothing stores in the mall, according to Selfridge.

NYC Alliance manufactures clothing for everyday retailers like Macys, Nordstrom, Stein Mart, Stitch Fix and Amazon, just to name a few. Some of NYC Alliance’s brands are Juicy Couture, 525, Frye and Faith Jeans.

“The Daily Thread carries Faith jeans for $29 a pair and also incorporates its own Daily Thread brand of clothing as well,” said Selfridge.

Some trending items carried this season are all varieties of cardigans, some basic and some very detailed, as well as overshirts, said April Edwards, visual merchandiser for the Minot location of the Daily Thread.

Selfridge said the most popular and costly item in the store is $39 for a black moto jacket.

Starting at $2.99/week.
