Energy company donates $15K to Watford City Fire Department

WATFORD CITY — Grayson Mill Energy, an energy company operating in the Williston Basin, donated $15,000 to the Watford City Fire Department to help purchase new portable handheld radios.

“Grayson Mill understands that communications are a vital part of every emergency response, that is why we felt compelled to support the Watford City Fire Department with funding to supply them with additional communications equipment.” said Dusty Grosulak with Grayson Mill. “Emergency responders take time away from their families and employers to assist their communities at the drop of a hat, this donation is a small token of our appreciation for them.”

“We all know the inherent dangers that come with fighting any fire, whether it is a grass fire or a structure fire. This donation will aid us in getting the new radios that are a critical link in firefighter safety.” said Chief Dave Uhlich. “Watford City Fire Department communications are critical in an emergency event and this helps us ensure everyone’s safety and helps with effective firefighting when we respond.”
