New Caribou Coffee Cabin grand opening next Friday

Charles Crane/MDN Caribou Coffee’s new 36th Avenue location will be holding its grand opening on Friday, May 27

With the flurry of development in southwest Minot ramping up in anticipation of the completion of the new Trinity Health Campus, the first business out of the gate will be a brand-new Caribou Coffee.

Located near the intersection of 16th Street and 36th Avenue, the first small format Caribou Cabin in the Magic City will hold its grand opening on May 27.

Caribou Coffee has been a Midwestern staple since its founding in 1992. It does have other locations in Minot, one in Marketplace Foods on South Broadway and the other on 21st Avenue NW.

While the 600-square- foot cabin might not offer in-house dining, it aims to be the destination for those on the go.

The ribbon will be cut at 10 a.m. on Friday, with the brand’s iconic Northwood’s feel on full display. Guests will be able to enjoy their favorite Caribou handcrafted beverages and delicious breakfast sandwiches, baked goods and snacks available to fuel their day’s activities.

There will be special offers available for the grand opening, with guests able to enjoy $1 off any large or XL beverage. Caribou will also be donating $1 for every transaction during the grand opening weekend, with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish North Dakota to help grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses in Minot and across the state of North Dakota.

The giving will continue into Memorial Day, with the brand pledging 25 cents for every transaction on May 30 to the American Red Cross to support military families. Military spouses, families, and active-duty service members and veterans will also receive a free hot brewed coffee on Memorial Day.
