Aspire CU celebrates 85 years with 85 acts of kindness

Aspire Credit Union commemorated two milestones during February.

The credit union celebrated its second anniversary as Aspire Credit Union as well as 85 years in business in the Minot community. In commemoration, its team committed to “85 Acts of Kindness” throughout the month to give back. Kindness can have varying degrees of impact and reach. Some were small, some large and one even stretched across the globe to a deployed member.

Employees completed several acts on “Random Acts of Kindness Day” on Feb. 17. They distributed local gift cards to 20 random people throughout the community and delivered 10 packages of fresh-baked cookies to individuals, offices, and some members, too. They hosted a community movie night on Feb. 24, providing 230 free tickets for their showing of Disney’s

“Encanto” at the Oak Park Theater.

Most importantly, throughout the month, there were over 55 hours clocked volunteering in the community, giving kindness in the form of time.

Aspire Credit Union, formerly Prairie Federal Credit Union, has served the Minot area communities since 1937. A nonprofit, member-owned financial institution, it is a community-chartered credit union serving Bottineau, McHenry, McLean, Mountrail, Renville and Ward counties.
