First Western Bank & Trust has announced recent position changes among staff.

Melanie Hogue has accepted the position of mortgage loan originator in the Minot Region. She has been with First Western since 2017, most recently serving as a consumer lender II.

Mark Medalen has accepted the position of mortgage loan originator in Minot. He started at First Western in January 2021 as a Trust Department intern. Medalen graduated from Minot State University in the spring of 2021 with a degree in finance. In June 2021, he accepted a full-time position as a consumer lender.

Mike Elm, former mortgage loan processor, has accepted the position of consumer lender I in the Minot Region. Elm grew up in Minot and graduated from Bishop Ryan, as well as Brown Institute in Minneapolis. He has been with First Western Bank & Trust for just over a year. He is located in the Dakota Square branch.
