Mayer reelected president of North Dakota State Electrical Board

At a recent board meeting Rod Mayer of Minot was reelected president of the State Electrical Board.

The state electrical board consists of five members appointed by the governor.

The board shall include a master electrician who is a contractor, a journeyman electrician, a consumer member of a rural electric cooperative and a person associated with an investor-owned utility.

Mayer was appointed by Gov. John Hoeven in 2009, Gov. Jack Dalrymple in 2014 and Gov. Doug Burgum in 2019, and has been president of the board since 2016.

Mayer represents the master electricians on the board, and has been a ND master since 1985.

Mayer and his wife, Denise, reside in Minot.
