Golfers will soon be able to hit the links year-round in Minot.

X-Golf, a state-of-the-art golf simulator company with over 30 franchise locations around the United States, plans to open its first location in North Dakota in Minot this fall.

X-Golf will be located in the lower level of Blu on Broadway, a new five-story, multi-use building in Minot. Franchise co-owners Silas Sneed, Brian Vibeto and Kent Kirkhammer are bringing the first location to North Dakota and hope to open more locations across the state in the future.

“In North Dakota we truly only get to play a few months of outdoor golf. With X-Golf, you can do 18 holes any day of the year, and you will have access to the best technology available,” Sneed said. “North Dakota, despite our climate, is a big golfing state, and we’re excited to bring more opportunities to our community.”

X-Golf Minot will feature six golf simulator stations, where golfers hit into a soft screen depicting one of over 50 golf courses, including Pebble Beach, Harbour Town and PGA National. The simulators are designed for golfers at all stages of their game and all ages.

Golfers will also be able to eat and drink during their round of golf with a full-service bar and small kitchen that serves “elevated bar food,” such as pizza, chicken sandwiches and giant pretzels.

What sets X-Golf apart from other simulator companies in the market is its technology.

The technology is the most comprehensive indoor golf tracking system available, giving customers the ability to accurately replicate all golf shots, including short game. Measuring ball speed, launch, direction and spin along with club path, impact and speed, the X-Golf system performs over 6,000 calculations per second.

Using laser sensors to capture each golfer’s swing and shot with 98% accuracy, not only do the simulators provide the most realistic round of simulator golf, but they can also help golfers identify areas to improve their games.

As a bonus, X-Golfers don’t have to pick up their golf balls after every shot, as is required with other golf simulators. Once the ball hits the projector screen, a feeder system automatically tees up the ball to a custom height set by each golfer.

In addition to open golf, X-Golf plans to schedule leagues, tournaments charity events and corporate events.

Starting at $2.99/week.
