CHS Sunprairie donates almost $44,000 to local food pantries

CHS Sunprairie has donated almost $44,000 to local food pantries as part of its annual Harvest for Hunger campaign that was held March 1-20, according to information provided by CHS Sunprairie.

A silent auction and dinner was held in Bowbells to raise funds. The Naked Moose in Loraine held a Rib Cookoff last fall and donated all of the funds raised from that event to the CHS Harvest for Hunger Event. CHS Sunprairie distributed $43,973 to six local food pantries in Mohall, Lansford, Glenburn, Kenmare, Bowbells, and Powers Lake in June.

“Now, more than ever, our local food pantries are doing essential work, feeding those in our communities who are struggling,” says Brad Haugeberg, general manager, CHS SunPrairie. “I am proud to see how the cooperative system came together to support this campaign, even as we faced unexpected challenges to our usual fundraising efforts.
