Home of Economy coming back to Rugby

In 1964, Bob and Jean Kiesau, founders of Home of Economy, purchased the TBA group of stores which included a location in Rugby. They used the TBA group to open Home of Economy stores in several locations. Shortly after, the decision was made to close the Rugby location. After nearly 55 years, Bob and Jean’s descendants announced that they will soon open a Home of Economy in Rugby in the former Shopko building.

Home of Economy, in a prepared statement, said the company is ecstatic about rejoining the community of Rugby. They will be evaluating the area so they can tailor the assortment of products. Each area is unique so the company makes sure that each of their stores have all the products that fit.

This will be Home of Economy’s 8th store. Other stores are located in Devils Lake, Grafton, Grand Forks, Jamestown, Minot, Watford City, and Williston.
