Bremer Bank donated backpacks for area students

The Souris Valley United Way recently received 250 backpacks filled with various school supplies such as notebooks, rulers, pencils, erasers, pencil pouches, glue sticks, etc.

“With great thanks to Bremer Bank of Minot for allowing us to distribute their 75th anniversary gift to the community, we were able to help take the financial burden of back to school supply costs off the backs of families in Minot and surrounding communities,” the United Way said in a news release.

“We were able to deliver backpacks to the following 17 schools: Washington Elementary, Perkett Elementary, Sunnyside Elementary, Plaza Elementary, Bell Elementary, Lewis & Clark Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, South Prairie Elementary, Glenburn Elementary, Surrey Elementary, Sawyer Elementary, Nedrose Elementary, Nedrose High School, Velva Elementary, John Hoeven Elementary, McKinley Elementary, and Edison Elementary.”
