Landmark building in Minot receives facelift
New look for Thomas Family Funeral Home
Those who have been downtown recently may have noticed one of Minot’s landmark buildings receiving a facelift. During the past several weeks, the Thomas Family Funeral Home received a fresh coat of paint as well as some minor repairs. Additionally, a new sign will be installed and windows replaced. Roof repairs have already have been made as part of the renovation effort.
This landmark building was built in 1903 by Martin Jacobson, owner of Jacobson-Fugelso Hardware Store, and became the home of Thomas Family Funeral Home in 1946. This historic building with the beautiful flower gardens and pots as well as the lush green lawn and shrubbery is an oasis in downtown Minot.
The owners of Thomas Family Funeral Home say they have been proud to do their part in the beautification and rejuvenation of Minot’s downtown.
