Andrea Johnson/MDN A burglar broke a front window on a downtown Minot barber shop and carried away a safe containing $4,000.

A burglar broke into Tom’s Barber Shop on Central Avenue in downtown Minot early Sunday morning and stole a safe from the business containing $4,000, said the barber shop’s owner.

The owner said the burglar or burglars entered the business by breaking out the front window.

He said he is not aware of any other businesses in downtown Minot that were burglarized.

The store’s owner said Minot police were called and are investigating.

He asks that anyone with information about the burglary call the police department.
