Lillians of Minot
A group of men and women in red suits known as the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors were at Lillians of Minot last Thursday, cutting a ribbon in celebration of the new look and new ownership of the women’s clothing store downtown.
“We always do ribbon cuttings in the town to show our support,” said Wayne Johnson, co-chairman of the Ambassadors Committee, who cut the red ribbon and congratulated the new owner of the shop.
Chastity Askvig, of Minot, is the new owner of Lillians of Minot and she vows to take the shop to another level.
The shop sells a variety of products ranging from shoes to t-shirts to jeans to eyeglasses, and Askvig says, “everything that is new and trending.”
She orders her products from between 250 and 300 vendors from across the country, and she is also planning to visit Las Vegas in February for marketing and to see what she should buy for the spring.
Smiling and thanking the Ambassadors for their support, Askvig said a lot of work including painting went into the new look for the store
“We changed almost everything, and we are thankful to our friends and husbands who helped us a lot,” she said.
Askvig also owns two dance studios, one in Minot and one in Bismarck.
The shop is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
