Heritage Park celebrates Scandinavian culture

The Shirley Bicentennial Park, more commonly known as the Scandinavian Heritage Park, is open from May 17-Oct. 1. Volunteers are stationed at the Gol Stave church during this season Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The park honors five countries – Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland – and is the only park in the world dedicated to all five. Cancer can be a scary diagnosis, and nearly everyone has been touched in some way by its reality. Members of Minot Pink Ladies each have their own stories of how cancer diagnoses in family and friends have impacted their lives. It was for that reason they came together through a dart league to raise money to help individuals facing cancer battles. The Lyric Theater has been entertaining Rugby residents with cinema for more than 100 years and will continue to do so as it’s brought more and more into the modern era by its community stewards.
