Taube schedules October events

The Taube Museum of Art has scheduled adult classes and Halloween events for a fun-filled October.

Three classes will be offered Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Taube. Paint a Skull with EJ Rose is open to all skill levels and ages from noon-2 p.m. Watercolor Basics with Judy Quill from 1-4 p.m. also is open to all skill levels and those interested in learning watercolor techniques or honing their skills. October Fest Beer Stein Making with Rhonda Weninger is a 21 and older event from 6-8 p.m.

Also on Saturday, Oct. 17, the Taube will host three sessions of Flashlight Tours & Ghost Stories with the Paranormal Investors of North Dakota at 6:30 p.m., 8:15 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are available at the Taube booth at Midwest MonsterCon on Oct. 9-10 or at the museum. The 10 p.m. tickets will be available only at MonsterCon. The sessions are open to ages 18 and older.

A House of Horrors event will be held Oct. 23-24 and Oct. 30-31 in the Magic City Alley off Central Avenue. The event runs from 8 p.m.-midnight on the first three nights and from 9 p.m.-midnight on Halloween, Oct. 31.

Bring a non-perishable food item for a local food pantry for $2 off the ticket cost. Bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots and get $5 off.

The event is co-sponsored by the Taube and Minot Area Council of the Arts.
