Standing next to the hydroplane, Maverick, which was on display in New Town this past weekend, is Corey Peabody, a two-time American Power Boat Association Gold Cup Champion. Peabody won the prestigious trophy in 2022 and 2024 before earning a strong runner-up finish at the 2026 APBA Gold Cup. Driving the turbine-powered boats for Strong Racing, he has established himself as one of the top drivers in the H1 Unlimited Hydroplane Series.
