WILLISTON – A send-off party for Miss North Dakota’s Teen 2025 Rita Johnson of Williston will be held Aug. 13, at The Old Armory Theater in Williston at 5:30 p.m. It is open to the public and will showcase her preparation for the Miss America’s Teen Competition in September in Orlando, Florida.

Johnson is a recent Williston High School graduate and an incoming freshman at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She is the daughter of Verniece and Dave Bratcher and Steve Johnson.

Special guest Kennedy DeLap, Miss North Dakota 2025, will emcee the event. Guests will be treated to refreshments and can bid on numerous silent auction items and/or leave a free-will offering. Funds raised will help with Johnson’s competition expenses.

On Aug. 29, Johnson will travel to Orlando for the Miss America ‘s Teen Competition. Preliminary competition is Sept. 2 and Sept. 4. Finals night is Sept. 6.
