Minot State University Summer Theatre continues its 60th anniversary season on Tuesday with a production of the comedy “One Strange Night,” directed by Seth Honerman. The play is written by Minot State University alumnus Brad Dokken.
In “One Strange Night,” James Nelling just wants a little excitement in his ordinary life. But what he gets delivers more chaos than he ever imagined. This fast-paced farce throws James into a whirlwind of mistaken identities, a neighbor with a knack for bad timing, dealing with his spunky mother-in-law and other shenanigans.
“Directing a farce isn’t necessarily an exercise in comedy, but rather timing,” Honerman said in a news release. “The script has been great to work with because a lot of the humor is inherent in the plot, but it’s working out the timing with the actors that makes the jokes come alive.”
Performances are Tuesday through Sunday, July 8-13, at 8:30 p.m. The box office ticket window opens at 8 p.m. Tickets also are available online or by contacting the box office at 858-3228.
