Concert series begins June 21 at Peace Garden

DUNSEITH – The International Music Camp announces the 2024 Festival of the Arts concert series in the International Peace Garden. All events begin at 8 p.m. and are free and open to the public except where noted.

On Friday, June 21, Those Guys will perform. Made up of performers who represent a cross-section of the Winnipeg music and theater community, the group’s repertoire features complex musical arrangements performed without instruments.

On Friday, June 28, the International Brass Quintet will perform a recital at the Burdick Center for the Performing Arts.

On Friday, July 5, the Old Fashioned Band Concert and Ice Cream Social at the Masonic Auditorium will feature the music camp staff and faculty band performing a broad range of works.

On Friday, July 12, Dr. Albina Khaliapova and Dr. Eduard Teregulov will perform. Khaliapova won a number of international and local competitions in Europe and the United States and has recently moved to Fargo. Russian-born cellist Eduard Teregulov is an acclaimed soloist, chamber performer and cello instructor.

On Friday, July 19, the music camp jazz faculty will present an evening of jazz at the Masonic Auditorium.

On Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27, the Festival of Arts series draws to a close with back-to-back performances by Evie Andrus. Andrus has been a performer for more than 30 years, touring extensively around the South and Midwest as well as some select appearances overseas. Andrus also has worked as a performer at the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud as well as Dollywood Amusement Park.
