Lil Wayne joins State Fair concert lineup

The iconic Lil Wayne will perform at the North Dakota State Fair on Saturday, July 20, the State Fair announced today.

The five-time GRAMMY Award-winning multiplatinum rap icon will bring his unparalleled energy and chart-topping hits to the largest annual event in North Dakota. Lil Wayne, a game-changer in the world of music, has reshaped the industry in his image. As the

founder of Young Money Entertainment and a multifaceted talent, Wayne has left a mark on the cultural landscape. With more than 100 million records sold worldwide, 11 BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, two MTV VMAs and eight NAACP Image Awards, he is one of the best-selling artists of all time.

Wayne’s discography is highlighted by two consecutive number one debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with “Tha Carter III” and “Tha Carter IV.” In 2018, “Tha Carter V” claimed the number one spot but also set records for streaming, solidifying Lil Wayne’s status as a history-making superstar. Tickets go on sale starting March 1. In addition to the State Fair website, ticket kiosks are available at any of the Marketplace Foods locations in Minot, Dakota Square Mall in Minot and Albertsons in Williston. These are the official ticket locations for the State Fair. The public is reminded to be alert to scams attempting to sell from other ticket locations.

In its 58th year, the State Fair runs from July 19-27 in Minot.
