Historical reenactors part of ‘Night at the Museum’ Saturday
Reenactors will represent well-known aviators during Dakota Territory Air Museum’s “Night at the Museum” event set for Saturday evening.
The event will be from 7-11 p.m., with doors open at 6 p.m. Cost is $15 per person or $25 a couple.
Robin Brekhus, museum event coordinator, said the museum comes alive that night with a hangar dance, silent auction and historical reenactors doing skits.
The reenactors will include Austin Artz, portraying World War I pilot Quentin Roosevelt, son of President Theodore Roosevelt and First Lady Edith Roosevelt; Larry and Gail Linrud, portraying World War II pilot Jimmy Stewart and women’s aviation pioneer and racing pilot Jacqueline Cochran; and Christopher Herslip, portraying a reporter interviewing women from the 1929 air races.
Those attending the event are welcome to wear dress of the golden age of aviation.
Music will be provided by a deejay. Food and refreshments also will be available.
This will be the last event of the season for the museum.
