Revue to bring past hits to Stanley

STANLEY — The ’50s & ’60s Revue from the Twin Cities, led by Joe Covert, also known for his Beatles tribute band, A Hard Day’s Night, returns to the Sibyl Center in Stanley Friday.

Covert, bandleader and creator of the music revue, plays electric and upright bass and sings both lead and backing vocals. To bring this show to life, he has studied the life and times of the artists portrayed by his bands.

With him will be vocalist Hope Soto, lead guitarist Mark Francs, drummer Rick Marquart and musicians Jeff Boxell and Michael Goldberg.

The performance starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20. Children under 12 always free. Advance tickets are available by calling 629-1721.
