Minot State University Summer Theatre presents a musical adaptation of the classic tale, “Dr. Dolittle,” directed by April Hubbard, June 23-26 and June 28-July 1.
“This show is perfect for younger audiences,” said artistic director Chad Gifford. “Many local kids are also in the production, which is very exciting for all of us here at Summer Theatre. It’s fun to see kids in their first shows and we have a front row seat.”
Hubbard added, “Dr. Dolittle is a delightful character who treats animals like humans and learns to love humans the way he loves animals. The world of Dr. Dolittle is magical and filled with talking animals and fantastical creatures like the Giant Pink Sea Snail and Giant Lunar Moth. The cast of humans and humans playing animals is having a wonderful time in this imaginary world. The show is appropriate for all ages.”
