Minot Public School Foundation will hold its second annual Red Apple Gala at the Sleep Inn & Suites on Saturday, May 20.
There will be a social hour, drinks, dinner, auction items, door prizes and entertainment featuring the Magic City Campus string ensemble and Nu Notes. Social and guest check-in start at 5:30 p.m. with a welcome message before a plated dinner at 6:30 p.m.
"Our Foundation's success at last year's gala is something we're incredibly proud of, and we can't wait to share it with our alumni, parents, staff, community supporters and friends again this year. Last year's event sold out in record time, so we've moved to a larger space to accommodate even more guests," said Danielle Rued, MPS Foundation executive director.
Gala proceeds will support educational opportunities, such as providing student scholarships and helping teachers offer innovative and immersive learning experiences for students in the classroom.
"At last year's inaugural event, we had a fun evening that raised thousands of dollars to meet the needs of our students," Ben Berg, educator and president of the foundation, said. "We are excited to add additional entertainment featuring MPS talent this year, along with the returning Nu Notes. Our board is thankful for our many past and new community partners who have donated to this year's event. Their contributions help make our event fun, memorable and successful."
The foundation will again be awarding the Dr. Lowell Latimer Leadership Award and the Friend of the Foundation Award to two deserving community partners.
All Red Apple Gala guests have the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship to be used for post-secondary education. The winner of the scholarship will be able to pick a MPS senior of his or her choice to gift the scholarship to.
Tickets are $50 per person or $360 for a table of eight people and can be purchased at minotpublicschoolfoundation.com/redapplegala.
