Guitar virtuoso set to strum at Minot State

Submitted Photo World-renowned classical guitarist Eliot Fisk is set to perform his unique repertoire at Minot State University on Friday.

The Minot State Division of Performing Arts is presenting “An Evening with Eliot Fisk,” on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Northwest Arts Center at Minot State University.

Fisk is a world-renowned guitar virtuoso and the last direct pupil of Andres Segovia. He has been performing publicly for nearly 50 years and has performed as a soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Houston Symphony, Rochester Symphony, Orchestra of St. Lukes and many more. In June 2006 Fisk was awarded the “Cruz de Isabel la Catolica” by King Juan Carlos of Spain for his service to the cause of Spanish music.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and a beverage service will be provided. Limited tickets are available. Admission is $50 and can be purchased online on the MSU website. The Northwest Arts Center is located in the lower level of the Gordon B. Olson Library.
