Circus benefits Minot Shrine Club

Animals, aerialists and other performers will take center stage in the All Seasons Arena at the North Dakota State Fair Center in Minot during the upcoming performances of the Minot Shrine Circus.

Presented by Jordan World Circus of Las Vegas, Nevada, one of North America’s premier traveling circuses, seven performances will be given:

— Thursday, May 11, at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

— Friday, May 12, at 10 a.m., 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

— Saturday, May 13 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Ken “Dizzy the Clown” Gillespie, a Minot Shrine Club member and Shrine clown, said local merchants support the effort to provide tickets to Minot and area schoolchildren.

“They have done it for many years,” he said. The tickets are available from the students’ teachers.

Advance tickets are on sale at several locations in Minot: all locations of Marketplace Foods, Thrifty White Pharmacy at Town & Country Center, Stop & Shop at 529 Burdick Expressway W., Lien’s Jewelry in downtown Minot and Outdoor Recreation at Minot Air Force Base.
