Minot’s first Woof and Wine Walk Downtown set for today

Jen Brodal/MDN Pups like this one and other furry friends along with their owners can take part in the first Woof and Wine Walk tonight in downtown Minot.

The first ever Woof and Wine Walk will take place in downtown Minot today from 5-8 p.m., ending at The Spot, with Paint with Your Pup from 6-9 p.m.

Registration for the walk is at the Gourmet Chef at 4:30 p.m., where participants can also enter to win prizes from all eight participating locations.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online at eventbrite.com or at host locations: Gourmet Chef, Magic City Sweets, Cookies For You, Margie’s Art Glass Studio, Lien’s Jewelry, Mainstream Boutique Minot, and The Spot. The registration fee will provide a participant with eight different wine tastings and four treats. The participant’s furry friend will also get four treats.

Casey Klein, owner of Cookies for You, said the pups and their owners will be welcomed into the front of her store for treats and sent on to the other seven stops.

Proceeds for the Woof and Wine Walk will go back into the Downtown Business Association and to the Minot Police Department K9s, who will also be outside The Gourmet Chef, said Klein. It is also Thursdays Downtown, an event free to the public and put on by the Minot Area Council of the Arts. There will be live music, arts and crafts festival, bounce houses, axe throwing, food trucks and more.

Starting at $3.75/week.
