The Mouse River Players has announced an end-of-year giving campaign to support renovations to the western facade and lobby of its building.
As part of the St. Joseph’s Community Foundation’s Twice Blessed Giving Campaign, every dollar donated from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31 will be matched by the foundation up to $7,500. MRP also is working with a local engineering firm and will be submitting an application to the City of Minot to obtain local funding for up to 75% of the $100,000 needed for the facade portion of the project.
Since March 15, when a capital campaign launched for renovation at The Arlene, MRP has had many generous patrons and businesses step up. Individual patrons have contributed $13,658 to date. Granting agencies and numerous businesses have provided $33,325. The 5th Engineer Squadron at Minot Air Force Base has agreed to help with the demolition required prior to construction.
In appreciation, MRP has been providing free tickets to each patron and business who donates over $100. Business and individual donors will be recognized on the MRP wall of honor once the renovation is complete. Completion is anticipated by the end of summer in 2022.
In addition, all dollars realized from the concessions at each performance are being donated by the MRP board to this campaign.
