Boo at the Zoo returns on Saturday
Boo at the Zoo returns to Roosevelt Park Zoo in Minot and is set for Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
The traditional event for trick or treaters was not held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, it was a drive-through event.
Jennifer Kleen, executive director of the Greater Minot Zoological Society, said the zoo will be going back to the traditional Boo at the Zoo in which participants can walk the zoo grounds.
“We have 20 community partners signed up to host tables with treats,” Kleen said.
The event gives participants the opportunity to share their costumes with their favorite fur and feather friends at the zoo.
Masks are welcome but are not required for the event. The event will be held mostly outdoors on the zoo’s 20-plus acres of grounds.
Event admission at the door is as follows:
Preschoolers (2 and under): Free
Zoo Members: $2 per person
Non Members: $3 per person
Boo at the Zoo is a popular zoo event. In 2018, the event had 1,800 participants and 1,900 participants in 2019. The drive-through event in 2020 had 800 cars and 2,200 bags of candy handed out, according to Kleen.
