Minot Public Library increases hours beginning Monday

The Minot Public Library will be increasing its hours beginning Monday, according to a press release issued by the City of Minot.

The library will now be open to the public Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The change in hours is because Ward County has now moved to a “moderate risk level” for transmission of the new coronavirus.

Library staff has been diligent about cleaning and allowing for social distancing and patrons have been very cooperative about wearing face coverings, so they felt it safe to increase our hours, said library director Janet Anderson in the press release.

While the building will be open more, other restrictions are still in place and some popular new services will continue.
