Dickens Geocache Ornament Exchange begins
GARRISON – Fort Stevenson State Park will host its annual Dickens Geocache event today and Saturday, Dec. 4-5 and Dec. 11-12. Twelve ornaments are waiting to be discovered.
Each Friday, GPS coordinates of four geocaches containing an ornament will be published; each ornament is a first-to-find prize. The park asks that only one ornament per family is collected. Coordinates will be posted on the park’s Facebook and Instagram pages @fort.stevenson and at geocaching.com.
Geocache enthusiasts and newbies alike are welcome to participate. The park charges a $7 vehicle entrance fee unless a State Park Annual Permit is displayed. Fort Stevenson State Park is located three miles south of Garrison and offers winter recreation opportunities and rentals such as kick sleds, cross country skis, and fat tire bikes.
