Minot State University’s Program of Theatre Arts and Campus Players are once again hosting the Region 8 One-Act Play Contest, today in Hartnet Hall’s Aleshire Theater. Performances will take place throughout the day from 8:30 a.m.-5:10 p.m. by area high schools.

The tentative schedule is as follows: Bishop Ryan at 8:30 a.m., South Prairie at 9:20 a.m., Glenburn at 10:10 a.m. and Velva at 11 a.m. There will be a break from noon-1 p.m. for lunch. After the break, Westhope will perform at 1 p.m. followed by Drake-Anamoose at 1:50 p.m., Newburg at 2:40 p.m., Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood at 3:30 p.m., Towner-Granville-Upham at 4:20 p.m. and Bottineau at 5:10 p.m.

After the performances will be an awards ceremony tentatively scheduled for 6:40 p.m. Two plays will move on to the state contest, which will be held at the University of Jamestown Nov. 25-26.
