2019 Festival of the Arts and Charles Lee exhibit

The Taube Museum of Art is taking part of the 2019 Downtown Christmas Open House Friday, Nov. 29. We will be showcasing our annual Festival of the Arts in the main gallery. A wide variety of artists will have their work up for sale including: hand dyed scarves, jewelry, original artworks and glass ornaments. It is a great time to start stocking up on holiday gifts. Refreshments and treats will be served as well.

In the lower gallery, Charles Lee’s exhibition “Combing Out My Brain,” will be having its opening reception. The show features large mixed media wooden cutouts of Lee’s slightly twisted and off-kilter creatures that have spilled out of his imagination and onto the walls. Lee is currently a student a Minot State University and has been working with the Taube as an art instructor and as their new Gallery Manager. This will be Lee’s first solo reception.

The Taube Museum will be open from 3-8 p.m. with a very special guest from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Here’s a hint: it’s Santa! Mr. Claus will be available for pictures and cookies.
