Try something new at the Minot Food Truck Festival

Returning for another year, the Minot Food Truck Festival is back on Sunday to offer Minot and area residents different tasty treats — some from their own back yard and others from across the country.

The festival will start at 11 a.m. Sunday at Oak Park. Entry is $5 for adults and $3 for students, military and children. Proceeds benefit N.D. Strong, an educational 501(c)3 organization that provides film education for schools across the state. Their goal is to raise funds to allocate for local technology grants and opportunities for rural schools.

Bounce castles will be available for a day of fun, a $10 bracelet gives kids unlimited jump time all day long.

Live bands and artists will be performing throughout the day at Oak Park’s new amphitheater. Seating will be available for those that want to enjoy their meal while checking out some of Minot’s local talent.

Off the Vine will be providing a beer garden area to the park for those 21 and over. A valid ID is required and ATMs will be available at the event.

Though the park has seating, it is limited so those attending are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or chairs.

Some of the food trucks attending this year’s festival includes: Lemonade Shake-Ups, Siri’s Thai Cuisine, Festitaco from Las Vegas, LBJ Texas BBQ, Mini Melts, Monty’s BBQ, Love Ice Cream, Old Tyme Kettle Korn, The Hitchin’ Kitchen, Backdraft Cafe & BBQ, Mi Mexico, The Scoop and Rock n’ Roll Tacos.
