The Minot State women’s ice hockey team kept the University of Minnesota off the scoreboard for the entire 120 minutes the two teams were on the ice this weekend, culminating with a 4-0 victory on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Maysa Arena to close out the regular season. Men’s Basketball: Dissette nets 19 in MSU’s victory over Dragons

Darik Dissette finished with a game-high 19 points and Carson Yale recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds as the Minot State men’s basketball team defeated Minnesota State Moorhead, 74-67, on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse. Women’s Basketball: Dragons pull away from Beavers in second half

Tied at halftime, the Minot State women’s basketball team was outscored by nine points in the second half, suffering a 76-67 loss to Minnesota State Moorhead on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse. Jessica Mogen poured in a team-high 23 points and Taryn Hamling and Tiyahna Trottier added 14 and 12 points, respectively. The Minot High boys swimming and diving team won all three of its duals across two locations over the weekend, opening with a 114-72 victory over Mandan at Magic City Campus on Friday, Feb. 13. The Magicians traveled to Williston on Saturday, Feb. 14, coming away with a 103-82 victory over the host Coyotes and a 134.5-45.5 victory against Bismarck High. Girls Gymnastics: Minot United wins dual with Northwest Stars

The Minot United girls gymnastics team completed a home-and-home season sweep of the Northwest Stars on Friday, Feb. 13, with a 134.100-115.200 victory in the final dress rehearsal before the West Region meet. Minot United coach Cassie Davis said she handed the reins to the gymnasts themselves in their final dual of the season, allowing them to pick and choose which events to take part in. The Minot State men’s wrestling team closed out the regular season with a pair of conference dual losses to Augustana and Sioux Falls. The Beavers fell 43-12 to the No. 11 Vikings on Friday, Feb. 13, and 31-14 to the Cougars on Saturday, Feb. 14. Cole Faircloth won both of his matches over the weekend for the Beavers at 133 pounds, pinning Augustana’s Braiden Kort In 3:34 and won a 12-6 decision over Sioux Fall’s Bray Skinner.
